The 200hr online content covers content from ancient yoga traditions to modern yoga methodologies that will provide you with the skills to transform your own life and the lives of others.
The journey includes a deep understanding of anatomy of asana, intelligent sequencing, traditional yoga studies, functional asana, leadership skills, teaching techniques and more.
Your personal evolution will be guided our founder Duncan Peak (Pioneer of Modern Yoga in Australia), and our senior teachers Troy Abraham and Gina Brescianini.
The current course is also certified byYoga Alliance 200hr Yoga qualification, which is recognised around the world.

Your Journey to Transformation
In 13 weeks & 15 hours p/w of study
Each week you'll cement your knowledge by practicing the 3 x 90min core Power Living Sequences & 2 x 60min class specifc. Every Saturday there will be a live & interactive 3 hr workshop, including a Q&A session covering relevant weekly content.
You will have 1 rest day.
Lectures & Theory
Each week you explore approx. 4 hours of pre-recorded lectures, with quizzes to help consolidate your learning. These lectures will cover Applied Anatomy, Posture Breakdown, Teaching Skills, Intelligent Sequencing, Traditional Yoga Philosophy, Power Living Methodology, Pranayama, Functional Yoga and more.
Practice Teaching & Self Led Study
Each week you will spend 2 hours applying what you've learnt into practice teaching. With your partner, you'll virtually practice your teaching together, giving & receiving feedback, helping each other evolve. There will also be 2/4 hours (depending on the week) of self led study and assessment quizzes.
We will cover:
- Week 1: Understand the fundamentals of anatomy for yoga teachers. Begin the journey of asana alignment and get in touch with the pranayama and bandha
- Week 2: Look deeper into anatomical intelligence and applying it's theory to asana. Begin learning how to teach Sun Salutation A and open the door to traditional yoga studies
- Week 3: Continue the applied anatomy journey, expand your sequencing knowledge and build prana learning traditional techniques
- Week 4: Gain confidence applying anatomy to asana and develop your practice teaching skills. Be inspired by ancient philosophy delivered by Duncan Peak
- Week 5: Learn the intricacies of anatomical alignment. Get upside down with arm balance techniques and start to apply ancient yogic teachings to your own personal life
- Week 6: Establish an earthly connection to standing postures and begin to understand how to prepare and create philosophies for class
- Week 7: You're only as young as your spine is healthy. Learn techniques to keep the spine vibrant and supple, whilst connecting to the heart of yoga
- Week 8: Dive deep into the ancient texts of the Vedas and Upanishads. Immerse yourself in the Power Living Methodologies that have been used to create our world class studios
- Week 9: Study the one of the two modern day bibles of yoga, The Bhagavad Gita. Continue the practice teaching journey and expand your asana knowledge
- Week 10: Consider the skills and values of a yoga teacher, study Patanjali’s Ancient Yoga Sutras and geek out with deeper anatomical knowledge
- Week 11: Learn cutting edge functional yoga techniques and explore tantra yoga the revelation of Kali Yuga
- Week 12: Understand the rules of sequencing so you can break them like a master. Explore the tradition of Hatha Yoga and experience Shatkarma, personal cleansing techniques
- Week 13: Create sequences that positively challenge students, inspire their minds with poetic class philosophy and shift their energy through the technology of Hatha Yoga
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the course run?Each week, of the 13 weeks, you'll receive up to 6 hours of lectures to study & quizzes to answer. You will practice 6 classes relevant to the study from that week. You will attend (via Zoom) a 3hr workshop every saturday with live Q&A with one of your course facilitators. You will be immersed in approx. 15 hours of study each week for the duration of the course
Is this course certified?Yes! Yoga Alliance have temporarily allowed online courses to be certified. Once you have completed all the curriculum you will be issued a certificate with the Yoga Alliance stamp. Please note the course must be complete by the 13th September for us to be able to guarantee certification.
Can I do just some modules of the 200hr courseYes, yes and yes! Very soon you will be able to purchase single or multiple modules of the 200hr Course, which will be 10hr, 20hr and 50hr blocks. If you want more information about this please reach out to our Programs Team; [email protected]
How do I get the information?All through our Power Living Education portal - super easy. Once you enroll you will create an account and you will just use these sign in details to access all the course curriculum. You will also be able to access the course on your iOS device if you download the Teachable app from the app store - so you study on the go!
Can I do the course in my own time?To a degree, you will be able to work through each week at your pace but in order for us to support you and your fellow students optimally the content will be released weekly. To finish the course with us, you will need to have completed everything by the 6th Sept. If you have fallen behind you can complete up until the 30th Sept (very latest) in order to get the certification from Yoga Alliance but our team will not be available to answer questions / provide support after the 6th Sept.
How can I access the content?The course starts on the 8th June, you will be sent an email 1/2 days prior reminding you that you can access the course material. You will access all the curriculum via the Power Living Education site. Once the course has started you will be able to see all the content, but must move through the course in order.
What happens if I fall behind?It's ok - you can do the course in your own time over the 13 weeks. If you do fall behind the content shared in the saturday live session may be confusing, as this directly relates to the content that has been worked through that week. However these are being recorded and uploaded for you to watch back at a later date.
What time are the Saturday LIVE sessions and what If I can’t make one?The live Q&A will be every Saturday from 1pm - 4pm AEST. These will be recorded so you can watch it later. These sessions are a required part of your hours, so you will need to watch the session it's entirity, including the 60/90min vinyasa practice that will be focused on cementing the weeks lectures!
How will the partnering and virtual practice teaching work?For the “Partnering” practice teaching, this is something that is not facilitated by Power Living. We will create a closed Facebook group for you to connect with others on the course. If you wish to do your practice teaching with someone on the course, as opposed to a family member or friend you can arrange this via that platform and do it via FaceTime / Zoom or similar. Power Living doesn’t participate in pairing you up directly but we will give you all the guidelines and tools on how to effectively practice teach.
Can I get some in person training when the course is over?Once the studios are back to normal operations, our Supercoach sessions will be extended to the Online 200hr Students, so if you are local to one of our sites you can attend these sessions - they will occur approx. once a month at each site. If you are not local, Power Living offers multiple short courses each year for students to up skill and refresh their knowledge after completing the 200hr course, you can view our advanced Education Modules on the Power Living website.
Can I just join the Uncover and Transform Retreat as an addition to this online training?YES! We will eventually get back to delivering our powerful Uncover & Transform Retreats once regulations allow larger groups and we welcome all online students to come join. The combination of our powerful Online 200hr Teacher Training AND our Uncover & Transform Retreat is at the ultimate learning / transformation combination.
Are there any additional costs on the 200hr online teacher training course?Only 2 texts are required, The Modern Yoga Book by Duncan Peak (recommended to purchase via iBooks) and Key Muscles of Yoga by Ray Long. Details of these are shared with you in your confirmation email when you enroll in the course.

With 20+ years’ of teaching experience, Duncan share's his modern-day yoga philosophy with our communities. He has an anatomical background in NeuroSpinaology, has completed extensive traditional yoga studies with Georg Feuerstein & practiced Raja/Tantra/Hatha Yoga for over 20 yrs.

His teachings blend pre & post-classical yoga philosophies and traditional Hatha, contemporary Vinyasa and Yin Yoga methodologies.
A much-loved member of the Power Living crew, Troy has over 10 years (15,000+ hours of teaching) experience in the classroom.
Troy’s teaching style is powerful, with a strong emphasis on breath, total immersion in the moment and with a passion for functional movement. Using yoga as a tool to discover the most connected version of themselves.
Troy has completed a 1,000hr mentorship with Duncan Peak & his 1,000hr formal accreditations are with Baptiste Institute, Yoga Anatomy with Leslie Kaminoff, Dynamic Movement therapy with James Skalkos & Functional Range Conditioning. He has studied leaders like Tony Robbins, Pedram Shojai and Georg Fueurstein.
Gina Brescianini was a soloist with The Australian Ballet for 10 years, performing all over the world, in traditional and contemporary ballets.
Gina started practicing Kundalini yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan in 2001 and she was emmersed in the practice every spare moment, completing her teacher training in New Mexico in 2010. She is a pilates instructor and has had her own business, Radiant Awakening Kundalini and Pilates Center in Sydney, 2010-2013. During these years Gina found Power Living and completely fell in love with the practice and community.
Gina has completed a 1,000hr mentorship with Duncan Peak, assisted on Annie Carpenters world-class trainings, studied Vinyasa flow yoga, as taught by Shiva Rae & with Sarah Powers.
